Drawer-type (withdrawable) ACBs are mounted on a sliding chassis, enabling fast extraction for maintenance, testing, or replacement without de-energizing the main switchgear busbars. Fixed-type ACBs are bolted directly into the switchgear panel structure, offering a more compact footprint and lower initial cost, but requiring complete system isolation for maintenance access.
How does altitude affect the rated parameters of Molded Case and Air Circuit Breakers? +
At altitudes exceeding 2000 meters, lower air density reduces cooling efficiency and decreases the dielectric strength of the air. This requires derating the breaker's rated operational current (Ie) and rated operational voltage (Ue). Special high-altitude insulation adjustments are applied during our design process to ensure reliable performance.
What protections are included under an LSIG electronic trip unit? +
LSIG stands for: L (Long-time delay protection for overloads), S (Short-time delay protection for short-circuits), I (Instantaneous protection for short-circuits), and G (Ground fault protection).
